cornered

Your game.
Your space.

Cornered is built for private games with friends, not for advertising. This describes the current pre-release app and website.

What the game stores

Your chosen display name, a user identifier, secure sign-in tokens, game memberships, invitations, board positions, remaining pieces, scores, and game timestamps. These let the server enforce the rules and save your games. Friends in a game can see your display name and game state.

Guest and Apple identities

Guest play needs no email or password. The app stores your access token in the device Keychain. Without linking to Apple, losing access to that token can mean losing access to your games; reinstalling or changing devices is not a recovery method.

The Apple sign-in API stores Apple’s verified account identifier to recognize your account. It does not identify you by email. Apple sign-in availability on a released app depends on its Apple configuration. Linking a guest preserves that guest’s games; different accounts are never silently merged.

No ad business

Cornered has no ads, purchases, advertising identifiers, or third-party analytics scripts. This website uses no advertising or analytics cookies. It may set essential framework cookies. Hosting infrastructure may process IP addresses and technical request logs to serve and secure the service.

Invitation links are private keys

Anyone with an invitation can use it to join an available seat. Share it only with your intended friends. Public invitation pages do not show player names, the board, or other private game details.

Delete your account

Use Delete account in the app. The server deletes the identity and revokes all its tokens. In active games, your seat is resigned. In saved game history, your name becomes “Deleted player” and the identity link is removed. Waiting lobbies remove your seat and transfer hosting when possible. Anonymous board and score history remains so your friends’ games still make sense.

Before public release

A production operator contact and final hosting/retention details have not yet been published. This is a pre-release service, not a claim that production privacy operations are already in place. See support for current availability and recovery limitations.
